echolink S7-compact
Compact PROFIBUS/MPI Adapter for Ethernet Connection of SIMATIC S7 Controllers
echolink S7-compact enables simple and fast integration of SIMATIC S7-200/300/400 controllers into Ethernet networks. This enables programming, configuration and SCADA applications such as STEP7, TIA Portal, WinCC or OPC Servers to robustly and cost-effectively access up to 32 automation devices in parallel. The adapter can be plugged directly into the MPI connection and replaces expensive Siemens CP communication processors. The looped-through programming device socket allows retroactive piggyback mounting.
For configuration purposes, echolink s7-compact can be integrated as a programming device in the familiar STEP7 or TIA Portal development tools. In addition, a web interface is available for basic settings, e.g. the PROFIBUS subscriber address or the IP address. SIMATIC S7-200/300/400 controllers without Ethernet connection can also be connected to SIMATIC S7-1200/1500 controllers with Ethernet connection via the adapter. echolink s7-compact can be supplied with power directly via the SIMATIC S7 or via the 24 V connection.
Overview
Integration of S7-200, S7-300 and S7-400 into 10/100 Mbit Ethernet Networks
- Direct communication with one or several controllers in any kind of TCP network structure
- Support of up to 16 simultaneous connections
- Use of standard TCP/IP for communication within plant or company networks and with the Internet
- Expansion of participants using MPI or PROFIBUS via pass-through PG port
- Interference-free integration into existing control systems
- Centralized configuration of all adapters in the network via NetCon S7 software
- Power supply directly from controller or via external power supply
- Cost-effective solution alternative
Programming Adapter Supporting all Relevant S7 Engineering Tools
- Interface for programming controllers via Ethernet
- Compatibility with STEP7, TIA-Portal, WinCC and WinCC flexible
- Display and configuration of the adapter in STEP7 or TIA portal
Application Integration through RFC1006 and OPC UA
- Connection to HMI station and PLC directly via RFC1006 Ethernet protocol
- Support of OPC and OPC UA by using dataFEED OPC Suite for integration into higher-level systems, e.g. for production management
